Over the years, he has quietly built a diverse investment portfolio, backing startups and already established ventures.

He shared that some of his most notable investments began not in boardrooms, but through personal consumption, products and services he genuinely used and enjoyed.

The Bollywood actor further disclosed how one of his most recent business associations began with something as simple as a love for spicy food.

Abhishek said that he serves as a strategic partner in Naagin, an Indian hot sauce brand founded in 2019. He explained that the association happened organically.

“It came across my table by chance. I tasted it and loved it. I used it a lot and eventually contacted the people behind it, asking, ‘Can I get involved?’ They were looking at their first round of funding, and I came on board as a strategic partner. It’s a matter of great pride for me because it’s doing exceedingly well."

Junior Bachchan also revealed that the brand occasionally receives unexpected promotion from home.

“It also helps when Mr Amitabh Bachchan posts photos of his breakfast with a bottle of Naagin sauce on the side."

The sauce brand reportedly raised over USD 1 million in 2022 and has continued expanding since.

Abhishek Bachchan’s investments in Swiggy and Zepto followed a similar personal trajectory.

“One day, I ran out of Naagin sauce. I needed it. It was available somewhere. So I used a quick commerce app to have it delivered for dinner, and that’s how it came about," he said.

He laughed, saying that he spends so much money on these platforms that investing in them felt like a natural extension.

Abhishek also revealed that his partnership with Swiggy was rooted in his fondness for Thane’s Mamledar Misal, which the actor considers the best misal pav in the world.

“So I called up Swiggy one day and asked, ‘Guys, you deliver this to me every morning. Can I invest in you?’ I spend so much money on those companies for their services that I feel they should give back a bit. Then I try investing in them and make some money off them.”

Naagin and quick commerce ventures represent just a slice of Abhishek’s broader entrepreneurial playbook.

He owns the Jaipur Pink Panthers franchise in the Pro Kabaddi League and is co-owner of Chennaiyin FC in the Indian Super League.

He has also backed premium tea brand Vahdam Teas alongside cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.

Beyond his operating businesses, Abhishek is also a keen property investor.

Data from Square Yards indicates that his real estate holdings across Mumbai are valued at around Rs 219 crore.

With Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King on his slate, Abhishek Bachchan continues to straddle the worlds of cinema and strategic entrepreneurship.
