ProcUrPal's founder & CEO - Mr. Vikas Chadda
In the Silicon Valley of India – Bengaluru, a quiet revolution in procurement is taking shape.
What was once a back-office function is now a strategic game changer driving efficiency and innovation. This shift is redefining enterprise procurement across India and setting global benchmarks.
ProcUrPal is a pioneering venture conceptualised by Vikas Chadda, a tech industry veteran-turned-entrepreneur and a mentor to over 200+ student-led startups at prestigious institutions like IITs, IIMs, and BITS-Pilani.
Vikas Chadda has taken a bold leap into the startup world, leaving behind a glorious corporate journey while carrying forward decades of expertise and leadership.
What he has built could very well position India as a formidable contender to China and the USA in the domain of AI-driven eProcurement.
Transforming Challenges into Opportunities: A Corporate Leader’s Mission

With over 25 years of distinguished experience in technology development, and sales leadership at renowned organizations such as Lenovo and Reliance, he observed firsthand the challenges faced by Indian enterprises due to outdated and inefficient procurement systems.
This insight inspired a commitment to drive transformation and innovation in the procurement landscape.
“The existing systems were either painfully manual or too expensive for smaller Indian companies. And none of them leveraged Artificial Intelligence in a way that made procurement smarter,” shares Vikas Chadda, the founder & CEO of ProcUrPal, during an exclusive interview with Startup Pedia.
That observation left a lasting impression on him. What initially emerged as a quiet concern evolved steadily into a strong entrepreneurial conviction. Over time, this persistent observation transformed into a compelling vision.
Vikas says, “In China, it's common to see even smaller companies using locally developed, AI-enabled eProcurement tools to streamline their purchasing processes. It raises an important question—why don’t Indian businesses have similar access to such efficient, scalable solutions?"
And thus, ProcUrPal was founded in December 2023—a proudly made-in-Bharat AI-driven SaaS platform engineered to empower businesses by streamlining procurement processes, simplifying supplier selection, and automating RFx management, all with a focus on cost-efficiency and operational excellence.
The Challenging Early Days:
Vikas Chadda’s transition from a well-established corporate leadership career to the dynamic and often unpredictable startup ecosystem was marked by significant challenges and learning curves
Despite his extensive experience in leading global technology and procurement operations, entering the entrepreneurial space required adapting to an entirely different pace, mindset, and resource environment.
In its formative phase, ProcUrPal operated as a fully bootstrapped venture, relying solely on internal resources for nearly a year—until it recently secured its first round of external funding, marking a significant milestone in its growth journey.
He embraced the challenges head-on, adapting quickly to a resource-constrained, fast-paced startup environment.
As a tech entrepreneur, he donned multiple roles—CEO, product strategist, operations lead, and salesperson. This hands-on approach laid the groundwork for ProcUrPal’s agile growth and customer-centric innovation.
Simultaneously, his parallel venture, BrandBlaze Digital, played a pivotal role in shaping ProcUrPal’s go-to-market strategy and marketing execution, providing the early momentum needed to enter the market effectively.
"Through my experience, I knew that the pain points I had experienced were not mine alone. A large segment of the Indian SME were in the same boat, and I had to do something about it,” Vikas shares with Startup Pedia.
With insights from over 100 procurement veterans, Vikas Chadda built ProcUrPal to address real-world procurement challenges. From ensuring product-market fit to decoding complex workflows, every step was shaped by industry expertise.
ProcUrPal stands today as a purpose-built platform to eliminate inefficiencies and modernize enterprise procurement.
Backed by nearly a year of focused R&D, the platform went live in February 2025—and within just two months, it's already reshaping how enterprises approach procurement, making a tangible impact across the e-procurement landscape.
ProcUrPal in Detail:

ProcUrPal is a next-generation procurement SaaS platform that leverages AI and automation across the entire sourcing journey—from RFPs and RFIs to complex e-auctions.
It streamlines processes, enhances transparency, and empowers data-driven decision-making. The result: significant cost savings, optimised supplier management, and improved procurement efficiency.
Its two key service modules—RFx Management and eAuction—are designed to make enterprise procurement efficient, transparent, and accessible.
- RFx Module: With its RFx module, buyers input their requirements via an intake form. ProcUrPal’s AI and category managers then coordinate supplier responses and evaluate bids based on compliance, pricing, and performance metrics.
“ProcUrPal’s AI can cut down the RFx process time by over 50%. That's not just efficiency; that’s a competitive edge. Our clients are seeing up to 20% project cost savings on average,” explains Vikas.
- The eAuction module: It introduces real-time competitive bidding through forward and reverse auctions, complete with AI-selected optimal bids and smart dashboards.
Whether you’re a legacy giant or a young startup, ProcUrPal’s flexible pricing models—subscription, event-based, and spend-based—make enterprise-grade tools available without breaking the bank.
- Subscription-Based Model: Ideal for mid-sized and large enterprises with frequent procurement needs. Clients pay a monthly or annual fee for unlimited access to the full suite of tools.
- Event-Based Model: Designed for occasional procurement users—companies that float only a few RFPs annually.
- Spend-Based Model: This usage-based model charges a percentage of the total transaction value, making it perfect for businesses with fluctuating procurement volumes.
“Affordability has been our core design principle. Unlike global SaaS platforms that demand heavy subscriptions upfront, we wanted pricing that reflects usage and value delivered,” says Vikas.
What truly sets ProcUrPal apart is not merely its intuitive interface or customizable workflows, but the deep local market understanding embedded into its very architecture.
This localisation ensures relevance, adaptability, and real impact for Indian enterprises navigating complex procurement landscapes.
Global ERPs struggle with Indian compliance and regional workflows. Vikas built ProcUrPal with these intricacies in mind. And this homegrown strength is paying off.
Already, over 10 Indian businesses from sectors like retail, FMCG, logistics, and manufacturing have adopted the platform. These clients have successfully simplified sourcing events and improved supplier visibility—all while working within existing systems.
On the supplier side, the numbers are just as impressive. ProcUrPal has onboarded over 8 lakh vendors, creating one of India’s most powerful supplier ecosystems for online procurement.
ProcUrPal has already achieved recognition as a ‘startup’ from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) under the Startup India Initiative, affirming its innovative promise and national impact.
Even more impressively, the platform has achieved ISO 27001 certification, underscoring its commitment to information security, governance, and trust—critical benchmarks when dealing with enterprise and government procurement data.
Competing with China, Growing with India:

Ask Vikas what he’s most proud of, and you won’t hear numbers or milestones.
Instead, Vikas leans in with quiet intensity, “We built something that gives Indian businesses the tools to compete globally. This isn’t just tech—it’s empowerment.”
With Chinese startups leading the way in AI-based procurement solutions, Vikas knew the bar was high.
But he believes India has what it takes to build a world-class B2B sourcing ecosystem, tailored to local nuances and scalable for international markets.
The Indian startup ecosystem, now more mature and tech-savvy, is a fertile ground for such innovation.
With India’s SMEs seeking to digitise rapidly, and as the global procurement SaaS market is projected to hit USD 17.5 billion by 2033 (growing at a CAGR of 8.38% between 2025–2033), the timing for a platform like ProcUrPal couldn’t be better.
“ProcUrPal is proudly made in Bharat for the world. We’re not just competing with China and America—we’re rewriting how online procurement is done globally,” Vikas says with pride.
The Road Ahead:
Though just months into operations, ProcUrPal’s roadmap is already ambitious.
Plans are underway to expand into Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe—markets ripe for digital procurement transformation.
Its next-gen features, in development, include predictive analytics, AI-powered Contract Management Systems, and multilingual compliance tools.
“Our vision is to create a true borderless procurement SaaS that integrates seamlessly and securely,” announces Vikas to Startup Pedia.
ProcUrPal has also introduced a 15-day free trial to let potential clients explore the product risk-free, proving its value before asking for a paid service.
On the revenue side, while FY 2024-25 saw modest earnings of ₹50 lakh (owing to a very recent launch), the team is targeting ₹5 crore in FY 2025-26.
Further rounds of fundraising are also on the table, with Vikas seeking like-minded investors to help him scale globally.
The Bangalore startup has already received industry accolades, including the ‘Innovative Leaders of the Year 2024’ by Business Connect Magazine and ‘Best Use of AI in Procurement & SaaS’ at the Elets India AI Summit 2024.
A Revolutionary Moment in Indian Tech:
As India asserts itself on the global tech map, startups like ProcUrPal are showing what’s possible when experience meets vision and when innovation is rooted in indigenous needs and capabilities.
From simplifying vendor selection workflows to enabling real-time e-procurement events, ProcUrPal is helping businesses make smarter, faster, and more cost-effective decisions while building a strong case for Indian-made technology competing with Chinese behemoths and other international players.
Vikas Chadda concludes, “ProcUrPal isn’t just an Indian tech platform. It’s a revolutionary movement in the global procurement industry. We’re here to simplify and streamline procurement work for everyone.”
