KrupaCorp Founder Pradeep Devarakonda
At 20 years of age, most young adults, especially in India, are either seen pursuing academics, finishing college, or preparing for a competitive exam like UPSC.
For Pradeep Devarakonda, however, things are very different.
As a twenty-year-old hailing from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh, he is the founder of Krupa Corp. This construction solutions startup aims to redefine the construction industry by streamlining operations.
By integrating digital solutions, the startup connects builders, contractors, and infrastructure companies for better pricing and faster, more reliable procurement of construction materials.
“Procurement in the construction industry has always been a very chaotic space. It has worked on associations and relationships, but there is no specific data-based solution that can streamline the process and connect builders to enterprises and enable overall industry growth. I started Krupa Corp to address this very gap,” startup founder Pradeep Devarakonda tells Startup Pedia in an exclusive interview.
FOUNDER’S STORY
Pradeep Devarakonda hails from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh. After dropping out of college, he joined a couple of companies in the edtech and construction fields but ultimately quit them.
“Working a job just wasn’t for me. I did learn a lot, especially in 2023, at the construction company where I was working. That was my first exposure to how procurement happens on the ground in the construction industry,” he shares.
Having recognised the current gaps in the construction market, Pradeep started playing with the idea of streamlining procurement for builders, contractors, infrastructure companies, and even individual homeowners.
In 2024, Pradeep Devarakonda released an MVP in the market. This was a digital product designed solely to check its effectiveness in solving a market problem.
“My MVP was very simple—I leveraged WhatsApp and an ordinary landing page to connect builders and construction companies. Through the connections that I had made in the industry, I was able to secure significant volumes in terms of orders,” the startup founder explains.
In just one year, by the end of 2024, Pradeep Devarakonda clocked a revenue of Rs 50 lakh during the pilot testing phase.
This assured the young entrepreneur that the solution he was working towards was genuinely addressing a need in the market.
In 2025, Pradeep Devarakonda launched Krupa Corp, a construction solutions startup that aims to streamline the procurement of construction materials for enterprises, builders, and contractors.
JOURNEY AND CHALLENGES
Pradeep Devarakonda started building Krupa Corp with the mission to help customers (contractors, builders, and enterprises) access a wide variety of construction products, compare their prices, and ultimately make informed buying decisions based on the quality and utility offered.
He brought together a small tech team and began digitising the entire supply chain in the construction industry.
“Right from looking for options, negotiating on prices, and finally placing an order, Krupa Corp’s platform streamlines every single step of the procurement process,” entrepreneur Pradeep says.
However, initially, he had to navigate through certain challenges.
-
Sometimes, certain unavoidable logistical issues cropped up that had to be handled.
-
Other times, some builders would cancel the order suddenly. But Pradeep would have already dispatched the order by then.
-
Then, there was increased pressure from builders for fast deliveries, especially when the construction project at hand was running on tight deadlines.
“Many of our early challenges were solved by third-party solutions that helped us digitise business operations and transportation processes by addressing all the needs of tracking deliveries, knowing the exact location and type of the truck carrying the construction materials, etc.,” Pradeep Devarakonda tells Startup Pedia.

Krupa Corp is a construction solution startup that aims to streamline the procurement of construction materials for builders and infrastructure companies.
Recently, in March 2025, the construction solution startup launched Krupa Market, a B2B commerce platform that offers smart, efficient, and cost-effective construction procurement solutions.
“Krupa Market is our first official procurement service, and companies will now be able to directly procure materials through this platform. Not only will builders and enterprises be able to source construction materials smartly, but they will also benefit from gaining access to competitive pricing,” Pradeep explains.
Additionally, builders and contractors can maintain and automate the data regarding the accounts of the customer, track orders, and mention preferred delivery dates.
While Krupa Market’s primary customers will be contractors and builders, even individual homeowners can utilise the platform and be more involved in the specifics of the construction materials being used in their house construction or renovation.
Currently, Krupa Market is streamlining the procurement of steel.
“We have plans to offer more construction materials very soon,” startup founder Pradeep Devarakonda affirms.
At the launch of Krupa Market, Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, Union Minister of State for Communications and IT, praised Krupa Market’s potential to bring transparency and efficiency to B2B commerce.
“The fact that he saw potential in the platform matters a lot to me,” Pradeep says.
LOOKING AHEAD
With plans to launch a retail business arm, Krupa Retail Ventures Private Limited, for home improvement products and construction materials, Pradeep Devarakonda will enable local MSMEs, architects, and homeowners to access a wide range of construction materials.
“We aim to establish Krupa Corporation as a trusted company in the construction industry, both in B2B commerce and retail in the future,” Pradeep signs off.
