Shazad Loladiya - Founder Of The Jobs Advertise
For lakhs of skilled workers in India, securing a well-paying job in Gulf or European countries is often an arduous journey. Many candidates struggle to find genuine job opportunities, often falling prey to unlicensed agents and fraudulent job postings.
On the other hand, licensed recruitment agencies face their own challenges in identifying the right talent and gaining direct access to job seekers.
At the heart of these challenges lies a fundamental issue—trust.
To solve this issue, Mumbai-based entrepreneur Shazad Loladiya launched a recruitment portal called The Jobs Advertise to build a direct, transparent bridge between job seekers and licensed recruitment agencies.
From Job Seeker to Job Provider
The founder of the Mumbai-based recruitment portal, Shazad Loladiya, never initially planned on entering the recruitment industry. He pursued a Bachelor of Computer Applications at St. Angelo's, aspiring to become a software engineer. But fate had other plans.
"When I graduated in 2015, I spent six months searching for an IT job. I tried everything, but no one wanted to hire a fresher," said the founder of The Jobs Advertise in an exclusive interview with Startup Pedia.
Struggling to find work, he turned to overseas recruitment, a field where he had gained some experience during his college years in 2012. He had taken up a recruitment job during college to support his family financially.
Shazad comes from a humble entrepreneurial family. His father, a wholesaler of auto spare parts, migrated from Gujarat to Mumbai in 1985.
Things were going well for a while, but then, "There was no business, no income. We lived under drastic financial constraints," recalled the Mumbai-based entrepreneur.
When he took up the recruitment agency job during college, things began to improve. In 2015, when he couldn't find a job in the IT sector, he joined Chinar Travels, a recruitment agency, and later worked with Trans Asia Integrate Services, a leading overseas consultancy.
However, in 2021, his father passed away, and Shazad had to take full responsibility for his family's financial well-being.
Determined to succeed, he worked tirelessly for 12–14 hours a day. By 2017–2018, his financial situation improved, and he began saving aggressively.
"I started as a recruitment coordinator and eventually moved up to sourcing manager. Over the years, I travelled across India—Chennai, Cochin, Bangalore, Gujarat, Delhi, Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Vizag—meeting agencies, sourcing candidates, and learning the intricacies of recruitment," he told Startup Pedia.
By 2022, with ₹30 lakhs in savings, he gained the confidence to quit his job and launch The Jobs Advertise.
How The Jobs Advertise Works
The Mumbai-based overseas recruitment portal, The Jobs Advertise, operates with a strong commitment to transparency and authenticity. Only government-licensed agencies registered with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are permitted to post job vacancies.
Candidates can apply directly, eliminating the need for middlemen and reducing the risk of fraudulent practices. Each job listing includes essential details such as agency information, contact numbers, and email IDs, providing job seekers with complete visibility and direct access to potential employers.
From Building Trust to Building a Community of 3 Lakh+ Job Seekers and Agencies
Building trust and credibility was the biggest hurdle in the initial stages of the Mumbai-based overseas recruitment portal. For the first three months, website traffic was minimal, and agencies were hesitant to trust a new portal.
Shazad had to personally reach out to them, leveraging his experience and relationships to convince them of the portal’s value.
"Initially, agencies were skeptical. But once they saw how the portal worked, and major agencies started posting jobs, they realized its potential," he shared.
Today, the portal has over 50 agencies posting vacancies and 1,000–1,500 daily website visitors from India and Gulf countries.
Moreover, The Jobs Advertise has a LinkedIn page with 2.5 lakh+ followers, actively engaging professionals seeking overseas jobs. It also manages 30+ WhatsApp groups, where vacancies are shared in real-time with 26,000+ job seekers.
The Subscription Plans for Agencies
So far, The Jobs Advertise has been free for agencies to build trust. However, Shazad plans to introduce Basic and Premium subscription plans for sustainable growth.
- Basic Plan: Completely free, allowing agencies to post one job listing per day at no cost.
- Premium Plan: Priced at ₹10,000 per month, allowing agencies to post up to five job listings per day.
Premium subscribers also benefit from priority visibility, ad promotions, and direct messaging features that enable seamless communication between agencies and candidates.
"Currently, agencies pay ₹25,000–50,000 for a one-day advertisement in newspapers. My model is more affordable and offers better reach," said the founder of The Jobs Advertise.
His next steps include facilitating direct hiring for Gulf and European companies. Additionally, he plans to launch a digital job listing ePaper, replacing outdated newspaper advertisements with a more efficient and accessible solution.
"We've built the foundation. Now, it's time to scale and make overseas hiring seamless," he added.
₹1 Crore per Month Revenue Projection
Managing everything single-handedly, Shazad has invested Rs. 1.5 lakh while working from home to launch the Mumbai-based overseas job portal. With the subscription model and expansion plan, he is confident about achieving a highly profitable business.
"The moment I start the subscription model, I am sure that my monthly revenue will be ₹5–6 lakh. By 2028, I am aiming for ₹1 crore per month in revenue," said the founder while talking to the journalist from Startup Pedia.
While concluding the interview, Shazad emphasized his mission-driven approach,"I didn't start The Jobs Advertise just to build a business. I built it to solve a problem. And as long as there are people looking for jobs, I'll keep finding ways to make it easier for them."
