Quick commerce platform Zepto is set to launch a new mobile application for its food delivery unit, Zepto Cafe. Zepto co-founder and CEO, Aadit Palicha, announced that the separate app for Zepto Cafe will be launched next week, catering to both Android and iOS users.
Zepto's New Cafe App
While customers can still order Cafe products through the main Zepto app, the decision to introduce a standalone app aims to improve user experience and streamline operations for the cafe unit.
“The team is shipping an MVP (minimum viable product) and iterating quickly, so it may not be perfect on Day 1, but it’s worth it to launch fast,” Palicha shared on Wednesday.
Palicha discussed the advantages of having a separate app, citing consumer preferences and economic viability as key factors driving this decision.

Although the app may not be perfect upon its initial launch, the CEO mentioned their team would iterate and improve the user experience over time. With this, Zepto plans to expand its cafe presence across the top six cities and position itself as a market leader in the quick commerce space.
