Fashion brand Bewakoof’s CEO, Prabhkiran Singh, said that a young entrepreneur doesn’t just dream of launching a brand; they think of building an empire.

“When you're 20 and dreaming of starting a brand, you don’t think of just a business,” he said in a recent post on LinkedIn. “You think of an empire. At least we did, we used to dream of a BEWAKOOF® World.”

Bewakoof everywhere

In the LinkedIn post, he shared how he did not just think about fashion while launching Bewakoof, but dreamed of gaming arenas, parks, and cafes centred around his brand.

“Bewakoof everywhere, the fashion platform CEO wrote. “Everywhere under the sun.”

Then he disclosed “the crazy part”, saying, “the dream is happening”.

“We just launched the first-ever Bewakoof Cafe, in partnership with abCoffee, inside our Koramangala store,” the entrepreneur announced.

Admitting that it is a small step, but “for that 20-year-old kid who once dreamed of a whole world - It feels like a giant leap,” he remarked.

Prabhkiran Singh lauded abCoffee founder Abhijeet Anand while concluding his post.

“A big shout to the founder of abCoffee: Abhijeet Anand (India’s number 1 grab-and-go coffee company),” he wrote.

What is Bewakoof?

Founded in 2012 by Prabhkiran Singh and Siddharth Munot, Bewakoof is a lifestyle fashion brand that makes creative, distinctive fashion for the trendy, contemporary Indian.

In an earlier post, the fashion startup founder shared that when the company was growing, the "everyday fights", the chaos, the risk, the stress, the hustle made celebrating its journey take a back seat. But when they officially launched on April 1, they decided to mark the day, he said.

"So, every year, I make it a ritual: April 1st is my reset day. My day to breathe," Singh said, adding that he goes to the office just to soak it all in on this day. He does not take up any task but just leans back on his office chair with rollers, feels the AC breeze, and is grateful for having moved beyond the plastic chair.

"I’m my biggest critic the whole year — but today, I pause to say: You did a decent job. You deserve this day off," Singh wrote.
