It’s remarkable what people can do despite facing tough odds.

Savitri Jindal, who doesn’t even have a high school degree is India’s richest woman.

Married at a very young age to the visionary Prakash Jindal, she took over her husband’s company and turned it into a global company.

Just five months ago she beat Wipro's Azim Premji in net worth.

Now, she has overtaken another magnate — Shiv Nadar of HCL Technologies by closing a massive gap of $20.01 billion.

Bloomberg’s data says that Savitri Devi Jindal is the fourth richest in India with a fortune of $31.50 billion.

So far in 2024, the net worth of Savitri Jindal has increased by $6.8 billion, and it has grown by almost $11 billion during 2023.

Stock Price Surge:

Experts credit the excellent performance of stocks such as Jindal Steel & Power, JSW Energy, and JSW Infrastructure.

During the last six months, the stocks of Jindal Steel & Power and JSW Energy have surged by about 50%, while the stock of JSW Infrastructure has gained 30%.

On the other hand, Shiv Nadar saw his net worth fall by $2.6 billion since the beginning of the year, led by a lackluster performance by HCL Technologies. Shares of HCL Technologies, the third largest software company by market capitalization, have decreased by as much as 21% from their February highs. In fact, the fall in Shiv Nadar's net worth so far has been the highest among top billionaires in the country.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Mukesh Ambani continues to top the list with a net worth of $108.8 billion, whereas Gautam Adani comes in a close second with a net worth of $99.1 billion. Shapoor Pallonji Mistry, one of the largest shareholders in Tata Group companies, possesses a net worth of $37.54 billion as of May 14, 2024.
