Lenskart to launch UPI-integrated B Camera Smartglasses
Imagine paying for chai or groceries without taking your phone out. That’s exactly what Lenskart’s new B Camera Smartglasses will let you do.
The eyewear brand has announced that its upcoming smartglasses will come with built-in UPI integration, allowing users to scan QR codes and make payments instantly using voice authentication.
Lenskart’s UPI-Integrated Smartglasses
Unveiled at the Global Fintech Festival 2025, these smartglasses are the first in India to include UPI payments directly inside eyewear. The feature is powered by NPCI’s UPI Circle, which securely links the glasses to a user’s bank account. Once connected, you can simply look at a QR code, scan it using the built-in camera, and confirm the payment through your voice—no need to pull out your phone or enter a PIN.
Lenskart’s founder shared his excitement on X (formerly Twitter), saying,
“By integrating payments into the camera of smart glasses, we intend to make this a seamless form of payments.”
This step marks a big leap in India’s growing wearable tech scene, showing how technology can make everyday payments simpler and faster.

Smartglasses with AI Features and Camera Support
Apart from payments, the B Camera Smartglasses come packed with useful features. They have a point-of-view (POV) camera and AI-powered tools that let users capture photos, record videos, and even use smart assistants.
Lenskart describes this new product as combining “vision, intelligence, and commerce.”
The company has already experimented with tech-based eyewear through its Phonic Smart Glasses, which allowed users to take calls and listen to music. The new model builds on that idea, adding more functionality and everyday practicality.
