The Bengaluru outlet of Pub and bar chain, One8 Commune, co-owned by Virat Kohli, has been served a legal notice following allegations of playing loud music after the operational working time of 1 AM on July 6th.

An FIR has been filed against the manager at Bangalore’s Cubbon Park Police Station alleging the outlet served customers until 1:30 am.

The incident was discovered when a sub-inspector, who was on night patrols, responded to reports and confirmed the activity. Authorities have reportedly taken similar action against three other pubs in the area.

We have booked around 3-4 pubs for running late till 1:30 am last night. We received complaints of loud music being played. Pubs were allowed to remain open only till 1 am and not beyond that,” said DCP Central Bangalore.

Virat Kohli's One8 Commune has branches in major metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Kolkata. The Bengaluru branch, located on the sixth floor of Ratnam's Complex, was inaugurated in December of last year.

Last year, there was a controversy involving the restaurant backed by Virat Kohli. A man from Tamil Nadu shared a video on X recounting how he was denied entry to the Mumbai branch of One8 Commune for wearing a “veshti.” He expressed disappointment and hurt by the incident.

The Virat Kohli-owned restaurant chain also made headlines last year when the Delhi High Court prohibited it from playing songs for which the Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) owned the copyright.
