After working in various cities across India and abroad, Sagar Malhotra decided to leave his lucrative bank job and design a one-of-a-kind machine to make India’s popular snack, Chhole Kulche.
The idea behind it was that Sagar found even the best snack maker cannot repeat the exact same taste for his favourite Chhole Kulche. Because it is man-made a little difference in the ingredients and preparation is bound to happen resulting in a not-so-happy experience for customers many a time!
Sagar locked himself in a room to develop a machine that would make the exact delicious Chhole Kulche every time.
After spending an entire year locked inside his home, working on it. After a year with 40 failed attempts, Sagar finally successfully made the machine that prepares Chhole Kulche in a minute.
Inspired by his success, Sagar launched his Chhole Kulche brand, ‘Chak De Chole’, first in Delhi and now has plans to expand his business to Jaipur and Bangalore.
In a video with a food vlogger, Sagar explained that the machine functions similarly to a coffee machine storing three to four different types of chhole.
After just a few months of opening the ‘Chak De Chole’ outlet, Sagar said he is receiving an overwhelming response.
The food entrepreneur shared that he is inviting food vloggers from all corners of the country to popularise the brand and reach out to all Chhole Kulche lovers.
When a customer places an order, designated buttons are pressed for types of chhole, such as less spicy, medium spicy, or spicy. He claimed that his unique selling point is the speed, taste and hygiene offered by the machine.
