Capgemini, a renowned IT services and consulting company, has announced the construction of its new Rs. 1000 crore facility in Chennai, Tamil Nadu on its website. It's due to be completed within the next 3 years.

It will be a 5000-seat facility, spanning 600,000 square feet, will be equipped with state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and located in a prime destination to facilitate Capgemini’s diverse specialist teams. 

It will also include wellness centres, town halls, gymnasiums, and a modernised cafeteria. The green campus will integrate advanced energy and water-efficient technologies and utilize recycled materials.

Capgemini is expected to drive innovation and growth in Tamil Nadu. The firm is also investing approximately Rs 3 crores in neighbouring government schools.

Vijay Chandramohan, Vice President at Capgemini, stated that the investment showcases their dedication to sustainable growth and local talent, reinforcing their commitment to the region's economic development.

Dr TRB Rajaa, Minister for Industries in the Government of Tamil Nadu, praised Chennai's emergence as a global technology investment hub and congratulated Capgemini on launching a state-of-the-art facility.
