Dr. Arjun Sharma and Mr. Gauri Shankar have launched Gomini to help people participate in the country's sacred cow-based economy.

Officially launched recently, the founders have established Gomini, based in Bihar, as India's first managed cow care service platform. It works through responsible ownership, traditional wellness, and rural empowerment.

WHAT DOES GOMINI DO

Currently working on a closed, invite-only ecosystem, Gomini enables each urban family to own a cow while directly connecting a trained rural caretaker (woman or farmer) to the process.

This rural caretaker takes care of the family’s cow on the farm and gets a sustainable income opportunity and financial independence in return.

Gomini ensures that each cow is cared for with dignity and devotion.

All the owners of the indigenous cows receive:

  • Pure A2 milk
  • A curated range of Panchagavya-based wellness products
  • Immersive experiences like cow worship
  • Village tourism
  • Rural craft learning
  • Spiritual retreats

In its press release, Gomini stated that the company operates in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and works towards multiple global objectives, including poverty alleviation, gender equality, sustainable agriculture, and climate action.

NFT IN COW OWNERSHIP

To ensure that there is a sense of transparency and emotional connection between the owners and cows, Gomini has designed tech systems in a way that each cow is RFID-tagged and linked to a blockchain-based NFT for secure and lifelong ownership records.

Apart from that, IoT devices track real-time health and activity. AI systems monitor behaviour to detect early signs of distress, while CCTV-enabled computer vision provides live farm access to owners.

Currently, Gomini is working towards developing an augmented reality feature that will enable owners to virtually interact with their cows from anywhere.

HOW TO OWN A COW WITH GOMINI

Interested individuals can start their secure cow ownership journey through Gomini’s website or its app, now available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

“With Gomini, we aim to bring prosperity home by restoring the cultural, ecological, and economic significance of India’s indigenous cows. Our mission is to reconnect people with their roots while empowering rural women and communities, creating sustainable livelihoods through the sacred bond between humans and cows,” Dr. Arjun Sharma, co-founder and CEO, stated in the press release.

“As villages under Gomini’s care grow to house 500 or more cows, we will be able to transform them into fully self-reliant, chemical-free organic farming ecosystems, turning our vision of cow-centric sustainable living into reality,” he added.
