A car in Bengaluru is doing rounds on social as it was seen covered in papers featuring a catchy message and a QR code.
The message read, "Karan, I know you’re cheating on me with Neha! Don’t try to lie—the pictures don’t lie!"
Scanning the QR code directs the user to an Instagram page named "Dayone Clothing Inc.", an online clothing brand based in Bangalore.
Dayone is a Bengaluru-based streetwear clothing brand that creates customized designer clothes to enhance an individual’s style based on their unique personality. It also provides custom bulk orders for various occasions, events, or festivities.
Social Media Reaction:
Netizens online are amazed by the marketing tactics of the Bengaluru startup involving the bustling streets of Bengaluru where vehicles serve not only as a mode of transport but also as canvases for quirky slogans and advertising. However, a few others questioned the real intent of the startup’s marketing tactic.
One user wrote, “These kind of Marketing have always worked and got hyped. That's the beauty of our Country, we might not want to read or listen to gyan but have pleasure in lurking at other's life or even watch JCB excavation. “
Another user commented, “This guerrilla marketing stunt is a bold and innovative way to capture attention and drive engagement. While it generates significant buzz and highlights creativity, it's essential to consider the potential ethical concerns and mixed audience reactions. It's a striking example of how provocative tactics can both attract and divide.”
A third user replied, “Well this type of tactic may give many visitors on website but that will be only extra crowd and after seeing the page maximum will close it saying ad hai bhaai. We need to understand ki ab log ads se pak gaye hai they need content not ads. Yes you need to advertise but it shouldn’t look like ki bewakoof banaya bada Maja aaya.”
