A Swiggy Instamart delivery partner has alleged that his account was unfairly deactivated after a dispute with a customer. He believes the action was deliberate and says managers are targeting those who speak up rather than addressing real problems faced by workers on the ground.

Recalling the incident, the partner explained how a minor disagreement with a customer spiraled into a bigger issue.

“Toh bhai log, dekho pura melt ho gaya ek customer ko leke. Jaake dena hai, aur customer kya bolega – ye fokat mai thodi de raha hai paisa,” he shared.

What could have been a small matter, he added, ended with his account being shut down. The worker alleged that speaking out only brings more trouble.

“Look, this is what’s going on at Swiggy Mart. This is the reality, and we are raising our voices against it,” he said.

According to him, IDs are being deactivated not because of genuine problems but because managers want to silence those who complain.

He added that "Our IDs are being deactivated in Swiggy Instamart. No one else is doing it. It is the big managers here, and they are doing it deliberately.”

He further claimed that the practice is selective.

“Thik hai, kisi ka aur kuch kar nahi rahe, bas hum log ko hi target kar rahe hain,” he added, pointing out that workers who remain quiet are left untouched.

Calls for Fair Treatment

For gig workers like him, Swiggy Instamart is often the main source of income. Account deactivations, he said, cut off earnings overnight and leave workers with no safety net.

Expressing his frustration, he added, “We have no other option left. So go ahead, deactivate the ID of whoever speaks up. In fact, deactivate everyone’s, shut the whole thing down.

The partner stressed that he and others are not asking for special treatment. Their demand, he said, is simple: that workers’ concerns be heard and addressed fairly, rather than ignored.
