Amazon India is about to launch Amazon Diagnostics, a new at-home diagnostics service in partnership with Orange Health Labs.

What is Amazon Diagnostics?

The new service will allow customers to book lab tests, schedule and track appointments, and access digital reports instantly from the Amazon app. With this, the company is expanding into the healthcare segment.

Amazon Diagnostics would initially be available in six cities—Bengaluru, Delhi, Gurgaon, Noida, Mumbai, and Hyderabad—the service covers more than 450 PIN codes and offers access to over 800 diagnostic tests.

Customers can request doorstep sample collection within an hour and receive digital reports for routine tests in as little as six hours, Amazon said in a statement.

It also specified that the launch marks a significant milestone in the company’s vision of building a fully integrated healthcare experience for its customers in India. “This expansion strengthens the foundation of Amazon Medical by building on the existing service of Pharmacy and Clinic,” it said.

Jayaramakrishnan Balasubramanian, Category Leader, Amazon Medical, said, “Amazon Diagnostics represents a significant step forward in making healthcare more accessible, reliable and convenient for all our customers.”

Dhruv Gupta, Co-founder, Orange Health Labs, says, “Together with Amazon, we will keep raising the bar, delivering an even faster, reliable, and insightful diagnostics experience for people across India.”

The new service comes after a $12 million funding round led by Amazon Smbhav Venture Fund in December 2024. Bengaluru-based Orange Health Labs, founded in 2020, is backed by Accel, General Catalyst, Bertelsmann India, and Y Combinator, and has raised more than $50 million so far.
