Aadit Palicha announces launch of Zepto Pharmacy, promising 10-minute medicine delivery in select locations

Aadit Palicha-led quick commerce platform Zepto announced the launch of 'Zepto Pharmacy' on Thursday, promising medicine delivery within 10 minutes in select metropolitan areas.

The new pharmacy service has been rolled out in select locations across Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Hyderabad, following a 12-month pilot phase aimed at refining operations.

In a LinkedIn post, the Zepto cofounder and CEO shared, "Today, we're formally announcing the launch of Zepto Pharmacy - Medicines delivered in 10 minutes! Over the past 12 months, the team has worked tirelessly to perfect the customer experience, supply chain, and compliance at a small scale, and we want to grow it steadily from here. Our objective is to keep operational standards extremely high and not scale too rapidly, given the complexity of this category.”

Expressing hope that the new service can improve the lives of millions of Indians, Palicha said “exciting times” are ahead as Zepto Pharmacy is committed to making important medicines easier to access at critical moments of need.

“If we execute well, we believe this service can seriously improve the lives of millions of customers across the country,” he shared on LinkedIn. 

From its 10-minute grocery delivery model, Zepto is entering the pharmacy space to compete with leading online pharmacies such as Tata 1mg, PharmEasy, and Apollo 24/7.
