29-year-old Ananya Birla is the daughter of Aditya Birla Group’s head and billionaire Kumar Mangalam Birla.

Ananya Birla achieved international fame with her single 'Livin The Life in 2016'.

But now she is leaving the lavish music world to concentrate on the two businesses she’s building - a microfinance company Svatantra Microfin and a design house Ikai Asai.

Releasing a note on social media platforms, she called it the “hardest decision” she has ever made.

Unable To Juggle Both:

The note said it was becoming “near impossible” to juggle both. Trying to do both was taking a toll on her, she said.

“Guys, this has been the hardest decision. I've reached a stage where balancing both the businesses I run and am building + music is becoming near impossible and it's taking a toll on me in ways that l can't express,” wrote Ananya Birla. “Thank you for all the love for the music I've released over the years. I hope one day we can appreciate English music made by our own people as there is so much talent in our own country. Thank you again,” she added.

Last year, she was inducted as a director on the board of Grasim Industries, a flagship entity of Aditya Birla Group.

Ananya is the first Indian artist with an English-language single to go platinum in India.

Apart from that, she was also featured on the American national top 40 pop radio show, Sirius XM Hits.

Also, she made her OTT debut in 2022 as the lead singer for 'Inaam' for the web series, 'Rudra: The Edge of Darkness', featuring Ajay Devgn
