Yashrajsinh Gohil and Avirajsinh Chudasama, Founders of Koobit
For years, Yashrajsinh Gohil from Gujarat had been managing his family-owned hotel and resort business.
But as the hotels began to scale, an evident problem came up: managing them became a headache.
Diaries. Lists. Google Sheets. Documents. Pur chaos.
“I shared this with Avirajsinh, a relative that I met at a family function. He is a tech expert and immediately recommended that we build hotel management software, tailored specifically for the hospitality industry in smaller towns and cities. For instance, the hotels that are still too small to host large, expensive software systems but too big to manage efficiently with just manual diaries and Google Sheets,” Yashrajsinh Gohil, founder of Koobit, tells Startup Pedia in an exclusive interview.
Founded in 2024, Koobit is an Ahmedabad-based hotel management software that streamlines operations, enhances guest experiences, and maximizes revenue.
Currently, the SaaS startup has a total of 50+ hotels and resorts across Gujarat as its clientele.

THE BACKGROUND
Hailing from Bhavnagar in Gujarat, Yashrajsinh Gohil and Avirajsinh Chudasama are distant relatives.
Currently 28, Yashrajsinh completed his undergraduate degree in engineering from Parul University in Vadodara. He then joined his family's resort and hotel business.
As for Avirajsinh, he is 21 years old and currently in the fourth year of his B.Tech degree at Shantilal Shah Engineering College in Bhavnagar.
After the two met at a family function and discussed the current gaps in the hotel management industry, they decided to create Koobit.
“Initially, we had no plans of taking Koobit to a commercial level. I was just building a user-friendly software for Yashrajsinh so he could manage his hotels and resorts with greater efficiency. The whole of 2024 was spent in developing it and helping him adopt it for his business,”entrepreneur Avirajsinh tells Startup Pedia.
There were two key gaps that Koobit set out to resolve:
First, the existing hotel management software in the market was not user-friendly. They were laden with multiple complexities that just made simple tasks like logging guest information cumbersome. The result? Hotel managers would eventually abandon the software, even if it offered automation features.
“What small and mid-size hotels need is something simple that they can bank on, not another complicated system that adds to their existing chaos. Unfortunately, some systems still focus on backend complexity rather than operational usability,” Avirajsinh says.
Second, many current hotel management software systems under-deliver on personalization and real-time analytics.
“The problem statement is that many smaller hotels lack tools to effectively track guest preferences, upsell opportunities, and deliver a differentiated experience. They need good analytics and seamless guest data integration to be able to do that,” he adds.

JOURNEY AND CHALLENGES
The first version of Koobit was built entirely by Avirajsinh Chudasama, and even then, it helped Yashrajsinh a lot.
“I was pleasantly surprised by what Avirajsinh had made singlehandedly. I immediately integrated Koobit in each of the hotels that my family owns and saw a positive improvement in management efficiency,” startup founder Yashrajsinh Gohil says.
This was when the entrepreneur duo decided to take Koobit to other small-scale and mid-scale hotels, resorts, homestays, and banquet halls.
“It was too good to just keep for ourselves,”Avirajsinh laughs.
The first step was to give out Koobit subscriptions for free to hotel managers and specialists and collect extensive feedback about gaps and bugs.
Avirajsinh was a one-person tech team and kept juggling college and software development at the same time.
“I used to attend college during the day, come back in the evening, and sit through midnight to implement the iterations. Then, there was the challenge of reaching out to hotels and resorts and convincing them to sign up with Koobit and make it their primary hotel management software,” startup founder Avirajsinh says.
Finally, the entrepreneur duo produced a version ready to be officially launched in the market at the beginning of October 2025.

KOOBIT: EMPOWERING HOTELIERS WITH PEOPLE-FIRST TECH
Yashrajsinh Gohil and Avirajsinh Chudasama have built Koobit as an end-to-end, all-in-one solution that streamlines hotel operations, enhances guest experiences, and maximizes revenue.
The software system’s benefits include but are not limited to:
Streamlined booking processes
Koobit’s intuitive reservation system makes it seamless for hoteliers to manage bookings, prevent overbookings, and optimize their occupancy rates with a plethora of simple-to-use automation tools.
“There is a real-time availability calendar that hotel managers can see at all times. They can send automated confirmation emails and make use of the group booking management system. We have also integrated a channel manager here,” entrepreneur Yashrajsinh Gohil explains.
Enhanced customer satisfaction
Koobit offers tools that help hotel managers personalize the guest journey from pre-arrival to post-stay. This includes preference tracking, automated guest communications, digital check-in/check-out, review management, and a loyalty program integration.
Optimized daily workflows
The hotel management software directly helps hotels and resorts manage housekeeping, maintenance, staff scheduling, inventory management, and vendor management.
“We’ve introduced as much automation as possible in these daily tasks and reduced manual work. Think more efficiency, less chaos,” Yashrajsinh Gohil shares.
Maximized hotel profitability
The software offers advanced revenue management tools and analytics that directly help hoteliers make data-driven decisions.
“This helps them monitor competitor rates, forecast revenue, optimize pricing strategies, bank on upselling opportunities, and build performance reports,” the startup founder adds.
Currently targeting small and mid-size hotels, Koobit’s subscription starts at Rs 2,000 for hotels with up to ten rooms and goes up to Rs 6,000 for larger resorts.
As per the founders, the subscription prices have been intentionally kept at an affordable range so as to accelerate wider adoption of the software and help hotels in small towns and cities do what they always set out to do: offer an unparalleled guest experience, enhance revenue streams, and strengthen their operational efficiency.

MAKING TRAVEL FOR TRAVELLERS SEAMLESS
Apart from scaling Koobit to a pan-India level, Avirajsinh Chudasama and Yashrajsinh Gohil are building their upcoming product, Koobit Atlas, which is designed for travellers seeking smart, effortless, and personalized travel experiences.
“Koobit Atlas will help you generate AI-driven itineraries. Say you want to travel to Kashi for four days. You’ll just have to enter a simple prompt like “4 days in Kashi,” and receive a complete day-by-day plan,”Avirajsinh tells Startup Pedia.
The AI-generated itinerary will not be just surface-level. It will offer a list of curated destinations, traffic-free navigation, routes, and even hidden gems, spots, and local events for travellers to explore.
Users will be able to book their hotels directly on Atlas and get an overall smoother, faster travel experience.
GROWTH
Despite being an early-stage SaaS startup, Koobit has already spread to multiple cities such as Rajkot, Jamnagar, Bhavnagar, and Coimbatore.
The startup has partnered with 50+ hotels such as Hotel Gallord, Green Leaf Club, Ishwariya Post, Hotel The Pill, Goldwins Grand – A Comfort Stay, and Hotel Jai Inn.
“We are building Koobit into a SaaS startup that simplifies the travel experience – for hoteliers, travellers, and managers. Ultimately, the plan is to bring hospitality operations and consumer travel experiences under a unified tech ecosystem that has zero complications. Only stuff that makes life easy,” Yashrajsinh Gohil signs off.
