With the rapid adoption of electric vehicles in India, the country’s EV charging market and infrastructure is also witnessing accelerated growth.
In 2024, the Indian EV charging market touched a volume of approximately 1.28 million units. By 2034, it is expected to reach a volume of 9.50 million units.
Raveesh Srivastava and Chetan Khandelwal, co-founders of myPowerExperts, have the vision and aim to “Indianize” the EV charging market. They want Indian-made EV chargers to be the preferred choice for customers buying chargers from China in white-label.
“When someone thinks about manufacturing an EV charger, over 90% of the components typically come from China. But we wanted to change that and provide efficient, repairable, and Made-in-India chargers that businesses can easily purchase in white-label under their own brand,” Raveesh Srivastava, co-founder of myPowerExperts, tells Startup Pedia in an exclusive interview.
Started in 2021, myPowerExperts is a Delhi NCR-based EV charger manufacturing startup offering Made-in-India AC and DC chargers for electric vehicles. These chargers are available in white-label, helping individuals enter the EV charging industry and easily build and sustain their brands.
HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Raveesh Srivastava, hailing from Lucknow, and Chetan Khandelwal, hailing from Udaipur, worked as managers in electrical MNCs like Larsen & Toubro, ABB, and Siemens for over 15 years.
Ultimately, around the middle of 2021, they decided to quit and start something of their own.
“Raveesh and I met in the corporate world in 2019. Both of us had an interest in doing our own business. Together, we decided to start something in the field of IoT and EV, and thereafter, we founded myPowerExperts,” Chetan Khandelwal explains.
In 2021, they established myPowerExperts by pooling their hard-earned savings. Their vision was simple but impactful: build a self-reliant EV charging infrastructure in India, with no shortcuts or compromises.
“We wanted to prove to the world that world-class technology can thrive on Indian soil,” entrepreneur Raveesh Srivastava says.
While exploring and developing EV solutions, they parallely worked on developing smart motor sensors, smart panels, and temperature monitoring systems used in various industries. These could provide predictive and preventive health analysis of the LT motors, LT Panels and HT Panels, and help companies take appropriate, timely measures.
However, their efforts in this direction didn’t exactly scale. The reasons were the heavy saturation in the market and the intense competition between new players.
By 2022, they had firmly decided to extend a laser focus in the field of EV charging. It was a relatively new field that had a lot of room for research and innovation.
JOURNEY AND CHALLENGES

When Raveesh and Chetan entered the field of EV charging infrastructure in India, they realized that it was primarily a Chinese-driven market.
“We conducted in-depth research and discovered that people who wanted to build their brand in EV charging would take the products from China, white label them, and even go as far as calling it a Made-in-India charger,” startup founder Chetan Khandelwal tells Startup Pedia.
However, Chinese reliance was just the surface-level issue. Deeper problems like compromised after-sales services, product quality gaps, and the chargers being inherently irreparable started coming up.
“The gap was clear. The true Made-in-India faith was missing. And people’s EV charging businesses were falling apart,” startup founder Raveesh Srivastava shares.
After analysing the EV market, the entrepreneur duo decided to innovate a controller that could significantly align with the Indian charging infrastructure. Using the controller, people could be enabled to make EV chargers.
Under the fully bootstrapped myPowerExperts, Raveesh and Chetan hired a freelance embedded systems team and started building the controller. For the uninformed, a controller is like the heart of an EV charger. If it is of high quality, the chances of the charger crumbling after a few uses become minimal.
“We sold the controller individually to approximately seven to eight clients and helped them build their EV chargers. Unfortunately, they couldn’t excel in it and lacked the tech capabilities and expertise needed to make an end-to-end EV charger,” Chetan mentions.
Then, the entrepreneur duo made a game-changing pivot and decided to manufacture and sell Made-in-India AC and DC chargers for electric vehicles and offer them to businesses in white-label to enable them to build their own brands in the electric vehicle charging space.
Initially, the AC and DC chargers that the team at myPowerExperts made were only 50% Made-in-India, but in line with their vision, the startup did regular R&D and product upgradation. Now the startup proudly claims to have innovated EV chargers that are over 90% Made-in-India.

MYPOWEREXPERTS: RELIABLE AND CUSTOMIZED EV CHARGING SOLUTIONS

Today, myPowerExperts operates as an EV charging manufacturer startup that helps brands and businesses scale their presence in the EV charging industry.
The AC and DC chargers built by the startup have a modular design that is customizable according to the specific requirements of brands. The chargers are equipped with industrial-grade components and are fully compatible with the OCPP1.6J charging management system.
While AC chargers can be used for residential and commercial use cases, the DC fast chargers are perfect for high-traffic areas.
“One of the most important aspects of our chargers is that they have repairable electronics. This is a direct benefit to users because they can simply get the charger repaired as opposed to discarding it and investing in a new one. I must tell you that most Chinese chargers don’t have this feature,” entrepreneur Chetan explains.
“They’re initially at par with our Made-in-India chargers, but the costs quickly pile up once you factor in the glitches in their electronics and incompatibility with charging apps,” Raveesh adds.
The customer journey at myPowerExperts is fairly simple:
-
If someone wants to start an EV business, like setting up an EV Charging station, i.e becoming a CPO (Charge Point Operator) or they want to sell/deploy chargers under their own brand name, they simply contact the team at myPowerExperts.
“Earlier, people would have had to visit multiple manufacturers in China for the same. We’re reducing their dependency and offering everything end-to-end here in India,” startup founder Raveesh tells Startup Pedia.
-
The team understands the client’s requirements and suggests the exact charger type that aligns with them.
“But we don’t start pushing for bulk sales immediately. One of our core ethics is to enable the customer to place faith in our products and service. So we give them a generalized design and encourage them to use it. Once they use the charger, get in touch with our services, and their faith is established, we move on to the next step,” Chetan says.
-
Next, when the client confirms their intent to scale, myPowerExperts takes note of their customising requirements, understands their brand tone, and then produces the batch of chargers that is fully designed as per the brand’s logo and theme.
“Now, we sign an NDA and agree on a minimum quantity of chargers with a quantity-based based rate-contract. It’s that simple. This is white-labeling for you,” Raveesh says.
-
myPowerExperts also provides an easy-to-use QR code-based Pay and Charge Solution for the chargers. The startup claims that no app download is required here. Customers can pay from any UPI app on their phone, and the charging begins. This way, customers don’t need to download different applications and go through tedious steps to charge their vehicle.
“Currently, this is the most seamless way of charging your vehicle in the market,” entrepreneur Chetan Khandelwal says.
The AC and DC chargers available at myPowerExperts start from a minimal price of Rs 4,000 and go up to Rs 15 lakh.
“Our prices are at par with the Chinese chargers, but the quality of our charges surpasses theirs any given day,” Raveesh adds.

LOOKING AHEAD
Having onboarded more than 20 clients already, myPowerExperts is on track to launch their portable chargers that can be kept inside EV cars for emergencies. This will enable users to charge their vehicles anywhere and anytime without relying on fixed infrastructure.
Recently, the team has also developed DC-DC EV chargers that empower users to harness renewable energy sources like solar and battery energy storage systems efficiently.
They aim to expand their product offerings to include bi-directional charging solutions that facilitate vehicle-to-home (V2H) and vehicle-to-grid (V2G) facilities. This will enable users to not only charge their vehicles but also use them as mobile energy storage units.
As an EV charger manufacturing startup, myPowerExperts is also committed to achieving 100% indigenous manufacturing of EV chargers shortly.
“At myPowerExperts, we want the EV space in India to become more accessible for new players. Instead of going to China and tiring themselves out from compromised quality and after-sales service, they can simply come to us, buy our products in white-label, and start their own EV charging brand. As a startup, we’re helping more startups and ideas see the light of day,” Chetan Khandelwal concludes.
