Born on October 23, 1991, in Mumbai, India, Isha is the daughter of Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, the chairperson of Reliance Foundation.

Growing up, Isha attended the Dhirubhai Ambani International School in Mumbai, which was founded by her grandfather, the late Dhirubhai Ambani.

She currently serves as a board member of two of the company's subsidiaries: Reliance Jio Infocomm and Reliance Retail Ventures Limited. She also serves as the Managing Director of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL), which is India's biggest retailer with over 16,000 stores across the country. In FY22, the company posted ₹1.7 lakh crore ($20.6 billion) in net revenue from operations under Isha's leadership.

In addition to her involvement in the family business, Isha is also actively involved in philanthropic efforts. She serves on the board of directors of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and is a co-chair of the board of directors of the Reliance Foundation USA. The Reliance Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Reliance Industries and has made significant contributions to various causes, including education, healthcare, and rural development.

Isha Ambani is married to Anand Piramal, the executive director of the Piramal Group, a diversified conglomerate with interests in healthcare, real estate, and financial services. The couple tied the knot in December 2018 in a lavish wedding that was attended by several prominent personalities from around the world.
