When most people reach their 40s, society often expects them to settle into a comfortable, stable life. The assumption is that they'll step back, savouring the stability they've worked to build with their family.
But that wasn't the case for Bindu. At 44, she felt an undeniable inner spark, an urge that wouldn't let her settle. For her, this wasn't about a late-career shift but rather the beginning of a bold new chapter in the entrepreneurial world.
Fueled by this calling, in 2023, she launched Webscicle, initially a digital marketing franchise. Over time, it evolved into her independent IT company. What began as a small operation offering SEO, social media marketing, and paid ads quickly grew into a full-service IT solutions provider.
Today, Webscicle offers website development, mobile application development, digital marketing, and custom software solutions.
The Journey So Far
Bindu's entrepreneurial journey began as a franchise partner with a Kerala-based agency. She invested around Rs. 16-17 lakhs for the franchise fee and office setup, establishing her foothold. However, she quickly realized that she wanted more than what the franchise model could offer.
The woman entrepreneur wanted the freedom to offer a broader range of services, including mobile app development, website creation, and custom software solutions.
In June 2024, Bindu rebranded Webscicle to establish it as an independent IT solutions provider, honing her SEO and social media marketing skills along the way. The journey was not without challenges.
The Kerala-based entrepreneur faced the task of educating clients about digital marketing—a long-term investment—while managing their expectations for immediate results. In Kerala, where quick returns are often valued, bridging this knowledge gap proved challenging.
But her hard work and consistency began to pay off.
In an exclusive interview with Startup Pedia, Bindu shared, "From initially managing 10-12 clients in the first three months, we've expanded our client base across industries like education, construction, finance, and restaurants. Today, we serve clients not only from India but globally, with 25 clients in total."
Revenue and Pricing
Currently, Webscicle generates around Rs. 2 lakhs monthly in revenue, with project fees tailored to each client's needs.
"At Webscicle, the charges are different for the mentioned services depending upon the requirements of the clients," explained Bindu, discussing the company's services and pricing.
These competitive rates have positioned Webscicle as both accessible and versatile, attracting a diverse clientele.

Vision and Way Forward
Bindu's story of reinvention is inspiring, especially considering her background. As an MCA graduate and former IT professional, she took a career break to focus on her family. Now, with her children more independent, she felt her passion for IT reignite. Guided by market trends and her mentors, she decided to upskill in digital marketing—a strategic move that would eventually lead to Webscicle.
Starting with just a two-member team, Bindu now leads a team of seven. Looking ahead, she says, "I'm working toward expanding Webscicle internationally, but first, I want to solidify our foundation in India."
At 45, Bindu is not just running an IT company; she's setting an example of how it's never too late to start or fulfil a long-awaited dream.
