Paytm founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma shared on social media that shortly AI tools would be so powerful that it could be impossible to differentiate between human-made and AI-created content.

Referring to an article by The Guardian, the fintech founder wrote on the platform X, “I wish we could filter posts by AI bots or humans. Sadly, soon, you won’t know if you are talking to a human or a bot.”

The Guardian article elaborated on how “AI-generated slop is killing the internet." According to its report, more than 54 percent of long-form English-language content shared on LinkedIn is created by AI tools.

These days, social media platforms are flooded with AI-generated content. Digital creators as well as normal users are using AI tools to write captions and edit images, videos, etc.

Notably, last year Sharma remarked that Indian startups not applying AI technology to replace humans in the workflow will not survive more than five years.

Netizens react

An X user commented on Sharma’s post saying, “We are entering an age of big companies with one founder and everything else controlled by AI?”

Another wrote, “There maybe tools for this in the future. You don’t look at the post, you look at a bunch of signals (post, grammar, response speed, creation date, image analysis) then you tag each post and reply “possible bot”

A third user expressed concerns remarking, “There will b enough opporunity to be humen media ..AI will b in wrong hands & uncontrollable.”
