One such case was cited by a woman who said she had returned late from Garba celebrations and found herself unable to enter her flat, while another involved a driver in Gurugram who ensured a safe journey despite severe flooding.

The viral post lauding Rapido driver who waited with passenger at midnight

In the first account, a woman uploaded a video on Instagram, which was later reposted by the page sarcasmic_troll, attracting significant attention. Startup Pedia could not independently verify the authenticity of the incident.

In the video, the lady explained: “Guys, listen, I just got back from Garba night and realised I don’t have the keys to my flat. My flatmate is out, so I’ve been waiting for her.”

She further disclosed that it was close to midnight, and the Rapido driver who had dropped her sensed that she was waiting on an empty road. The lady claimed the driver told her, “Madam, I’ll stay with you until your friend comes back.”

Commenting on the gesture, she added, “And that is just so sweet. Like, humanity is still there.”

The other incident involving "absolute gem" Rapido rider

In a separate event, Rapido itself acknowledged a driver for his efforts during the rough weather in Gurugram on September 1, when heavy rainfall caused extensive waterlogging and long traffic jams. The passenger, Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj, shared a video showing the condition of the streets and lauded her driver, Suraj Maurya.

She explained that despite being caught in traffic for hours, the driver ensured that she reached home safely. The post went viral as the lady passenger called him “an absolute gem”, praising his patience and professionalism for not once complaining during the six-hour journey through waterlogged routes.

Rapido later rewarded Maurya for his act, referring to him as a “hero” for the assistance he provided to the passenger under difficult conditions.
