What Is Claude Opus 4.5?

Claude Opus 4.5 is the latest AI model from Anthropic, designed to handle a wide range of tasks including coding, reasoning, and AI agent operations. It builds on earlier versions by being faster and more accurate when solving complex problems.

On SWE-Bench Verified, a standard benchmark for coding and software tasks, it scored 80.9%, outperforming other popular models like GPT-5.1 and Gemini 3 Pro.

One of its main strengths is following multi-step instructions. This means it can break down a big task into smaller steps and execute them correctly. It is also flexible: users can adjust how much computing power it uses or how carefully it checks its answers, which helps control costs and speed.

Claude Opus 4.5 is particularly useful for developers, researchers, and anyone who wants an AI that can handle detailed workflows, write code, answer questions, and assist with planning tasks efficiently.

Its mix of accuracy, flexibility, and reasoning makes it one of the strongest models currently available.
