Do Flipkart employees stay overnight at office for Big Billion Days sale? Video sparks debate

With Flipkart’s Big Billion Days Sale already on, a video shared by Brand Manager Simrann Bhambani showing mattresses and pillows being delivered to Flipkart’s Bengaluru office for staff staying overnight during preparations has sparked an online debate.

The clip got over 1.7 million views on Instagram, showing workers handling tasks such as updating inventory, fixing technical issues, and running marketing campaigns during the extended shifts. 

Bhambani captioned it, “POV: It's gonna be a looong weekend,” adding, “Yes, we do night stays in the office.”

Netizens respond

The post quickly went viral, fetching mixed reactions online. While some found the long working hours relatable, others questioned the excessive workload or mockingly asked whether prices were updated manually every hour. However, the post has been removed now.

An Instagram user wrote, “Glorifying toxic work culture is a flex these days." Another commented, “Bhai, itna kya kaam hota hai? Manually price update karte ho kya har ghante?"

Another user commented, “Reels pey Gana laga Dene sey toxic culture coverup nahi hojata, start paying employees for overtime."

A third comment read, “0 hygiene, pillows are carried just as it is without any protective cover."

The Flipkart Big Billion Days 2025 sale officially begins on September 23, with early access for Flipkart Plus and Black members starting September 22. Shoppers are offered huge discounts on electronics, phones, clothing, and more. 

The Amazon Great Indian Festival 2025 sale also commences on the same day, with Prime members receiving early access on September 22.
