Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal
Deepinder Goyal, co-founder of Zomato, recently shared a bold message on social media.
“Once upon a time, people believed the Earth was flat. And then they didn’t. Then they believed the sun revolved around the Earth. Until they didn’t,” he wrote.
He added, “Humanity has built rockets, sequenced genomes, and cloned cells. Yet, in all our brilliance, we may have missed something glaringly simple.”
Goyal teased that Continue Research has found a factor in our environment that might play a major role in slowing human aging. He promised to share the full details in 48 hours, raising curiosity in the scientific and health communities.
How Deepinder Goyal is changing aging research
Goyal says that for the past two years, his team at Continue Research has been looking for a simple pattern behind human aging.
“We tried desperately to disprove it. We couldn’t,” he wrote.
According to reports, this research could change the way scientists think about aging if the results hold up.
The research focuses on simple points in the human body that, if influenced, could have a big impact on how we age. Goyal emphasized that Continue Research is backing scientists who ask clear, basic questions about biology.
“Today, we are expanding Continue Research to include a $25 million fund to support researchers across the world who dare to ask simpler questions than anyone else,” he said.
Deepinder Goyal’s $25 million Continue Research
Continue Research was started by Deepinder Goyal two years ago to study human aging in a new way. The goal is to find simple ways to influence the body’s aging process and improve healthy lifespan.
The research is fully funded by Goyal’s personal capital of around ₹220 crore ($25 million). The project is not a company or startup. It is purely focused on scientific research.
The mission is to help humans live healthier for longer, with the idea of reaching lifespans up to 180 years. Continue Research operates independently from Goyal’s other venture, Eternal.
Goyal’s statements and the funding show he is serious about supporting research that challenges current thinking in aging science. With the 48-hour countdown ticking, many are waiting to see what environmental factor might be key to slowing aging.
