Sukesh Chandrashekar, the conman currently in judicial custody, has written a letter to Open AI’s CEO Sam Altman and proposed an investment of $3 billion.

Chandrashekar is currently jailed for multiple cases of money laundering and fraud being investigated by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). He also publicly claims to be in a relationship with Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez.

According to Hindustan Times, Chandrashekar’s “letter of intent” was sent through a legal firm called Anantam Legal.

“SMALL ROLE” IN “INDIA'S NATIONAL AI AGENDA”

In his letter to Sam Altman, Sukesh Chandrashekar proposed an investment plan that starts with $1 billion and extends to another $2 billion over the next five years.

He wrote, “As you and your company is now working towards becoming a part of India’s National AI Agenda, I want to play a small role by making an investment in Open AI of 1 Billion USD, immediately, and further extend it to another 2 Billion USD over the next five years for your Indian operations.”

He added, “Sam why go to Venture capital Investors, why should the Big Boys always have the fun, Sam please just take my money.”

Chandrashekar also drew comparisons between himself and Altman and said that just like the latter, he had begun from scratch too.

Calling his cases “false,” he wrote, “...the only difference is a lot of baggage, has been tagged along with me, i.e., False allegations and legal cases, however, none till date have been proved against me.”

Sukesh Chandrashekar further claimed that he had set up a “successful online” gaming and betting platform.

According to him, it generates $3 billion in revenue every year. Sukesh added his businesses are set up outside India, but now he wants to invest in the tech and AI development of India.
