The partnership will bring Perplexity’s AI directly into Snapchat’s chat experience. Users will be able to ask questions and get instant, reliable answers while talking with friends, making conversations more useful and engaging.

Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas shared his excitement on X (formerly Twitter), saying: “Perplexity will be the default AI for all Snapchat users in the Snapchat app from January 2026. Excited to work together with Evan and the Snap team on many more projects.”

The deal gives Perplexity access to Snapchat’s massive global audience, helping it reach millions of new users while strengthening Snap’s focus on smarter, AI-powered chat features.

How the Partnership Benefits Both Companies

For Snapchat, the integration adds a new layer of intelligence to messaging, allowing users to chat and search in one place. For Perplexity, it’s a major chance to expand beyond its own app and show how its technology can enhance everyday conversations.

Snap CEO Evan Spiegel said “Our goal is to make AI more personal, social, and fun — woven into the fabric of your friendships, Snaps, and conversations.”

With this collaboration, Perplexity steps further into mainstream use, showing that AI tools can fit naturally into how people talk, learn, and share online.
